I started our family run driving school retiring after 40 years from my previous career, where I was a company director within the Leisure industry, operating Amusement parks and Amusements Centres. I wanted a change of pace and direction and a role where I could help benefit others. I became a qualified driving instructor in 2013, since then I have gone onto receive a BTEC4 Professional Award in Coaching for driver development, Train the Trainer, Award in Education and Training level 3, Driver Metrics coarse. I am a grade A Driving Instructor.
Barry has gone on to pass the DIAMOND ADVANCED MOTORISTS - ELITE DRIVING TEST.
Wife and co-founder to Barry, I retired after a long career within the Ambulance service, of which I was a Paramedic. I wanted to become a driving instructor to promote road safety and teach responsible driving.
Carole has since gone on to complete the Btec 4 professional award in coaching for driver development.
Son to Barry & Carole, I previously worked within the leisure and tourism industry as an area manager. I decided to join my parents business becoming a driving instructor and teaching people to drive in 2017. Since becoming a driving instructor I have done the Train the Trainer course and the Btec 4 professional award in coaching for driver development. It is a wonderful feeling seeing the happiness and improvements within our students throughout the whole process of learning to drive.
Wife to Gary, I decided to become a driving instructor in 2016 after seeing how much Carole and Barry enjoyed teaching. I started teaching in 2017 after going part time and job sharing my managerial role within the leisure and tourism industry. It's so rewarding seeing our students improve their skills and pass their test.
Kelly has received a highly commended award in the Driving instructor of the year award category (south east) 2021
After working in the health and social care sector for over 20 years, I then wanted to focus on the training aspect, helping people to gain and extend their knowledge, and confidence with support and training. I have wanted to train to become driving instructor, and with the support and guidance of Barry, I have achieved. I am now looking forward to helping people achieve their goal of learning to drive.

Lou came up with the idea of using Johnny to help with nerves during driving lessons, since Lou started using Johnny he has become a great success with some of our very nervous clients.
Lou teaches Automatic for our school and is always looking at different ways to help our customer achieve their goal.
if you would like to have Johnny on your lessons just ask Lou when you book.
comments from Lou,
Hi Barry, thank you so much, so far everyone has given great feedback about him, they all say hello, and then he settles to sleep, and pops up every now and then, to see where we are, then goes back to sleep or plays with his toy. He seems to know when the car is moving it’s time to be settled. A Motorability client has

Hi Barry, thank you so much, so far everyone has given great feedback about him, they all say hello, and then he settles to sleep, and pops up every now and then, to see where we are, then goes back to sleep or plays with his toy. He seems to know when the car is moving it’s time to be settled. A Motorability client has even brought her daughter to see him, and the 8 year old fed him his lunch, he is a all round lovely dog, so feel I am very lucky indeed to take him out with me.
Kind regards
Louisa
